Healthy, educated and skilled people build productive and stable economies. In fact, global evidence shows that human capital is a huge factor in propelling economies around the world. In recent decades, governments have made critical investments, resulting in major gains: child mortality down 50%; 40% fewer children out of primary school; and at least one social safety net in every country. However, millions still lack the right nutrition, health care, quality education, and skills for jobs in a rapidly digitalizing world economy.
